Solinco – Hyper-G
Construction: A newly developed, high-performance and versatile co-polyester string designed to offer playability and control while generating extreme power and intense spin and bite. Utilizes a newly developed chemical formula in combination with the high-powered polyester monofilament fiber designed and shaped to generate maximum power and control while amplifying the spin and bite intensity of the ball. Advantage: Solinco Hyper-G is a square shaped co-poly with an impressive combination of spin and precision. Developed for an ATP top 50 player, this medium firm string will allow big hitters to take massive cuts at the ball without having to worry about over hitting. Topspin players who like hitting balls that dive sharply and explode off the court should love this string. One surprising feature of the string is its tension maintenance, which is typically the biggest downside of co-polys. Hyper-G held its playability longer than the majority of the strings in its class. Gauges: 17g (1.20mm) / 16g (1.30mm) Color: Green Why we carry this string: Hyper-G has a square shape and four grippy edges. Also like Tour Bite, this string can give players accuracy on full swings. Predictably, spin is a standout feature, and allows player to shape the trajectory and angle of their shots. Players are reporting that Hyper-G has a nice feel to the way it plays, which was surprising for a heavy duty co-poly. This string will likely be too stiff and powerless for intermediate to beginners, but should work very well for the poly veteran who wants superior control without over-compromising the sweetspot. I can take full swings from the baseline and it has nice touch at the net. Not lacking for power.
Great string. Probably the best string I have used that is good for every stroke. It is stiffer, but feels good. After about 6 hours, it does not move in my Wilson Blade 98S, strung at 50 pounds. It is notching, but it still grips the ball very well. Topspin is awesome. I can spin the ball and hit flat shots (really lower over the net spin shots that penetrate through the court).
